Driving from Penrith:
Exit M6 at J40. Take the exit for A66 East. At the roundabout take the exit for the A686, (signed Alston). In Alston turn right onto A689 at Front Street and follow signs for Nenthead which is approximately 5 miles from Alston. |
Driving from Carlisle:
Leave M6 at J43. Take the exit for A69 East. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A689. When you reach the junction with the A686 turn left to go into Alston. Turn right onto the A689 at Front Street and follow signs for Nenthead which is approximately 5 miles from Alston. |
Driving from Newcastle:
Head west out of Newcastle onto the A69. Stay on the A69 until you reach the roundabout with signs for the A686. Turn left onto the A686. Once in Alston turn left onto the A689 at Front Street and follow signs for Nenthead which is approximately 5 miles from Alston. |
