At North Pennines Archaeology (NPA) we strive to deliver the highest quality publication standard illustrations, whether they be traditional pen and ink or digital vector and bitmap images.
Our illustration and graphics team have over a decade of experience drawing, producing and publishing archaeological illustrations.
All traditional illustrations are produced on high quality draughting film using specified Rotring Pens and permanent black ink. These illustrations can then be scanned into a digital record if required. All digital illustrations can be exported and produced as most industry standard formats, such as .tif, .jpg and .pdf.
Illustrations and technical drawings can be formatted to adhere to standards required in the construction, architectural and engineering industries, and all illustration formats can be produced to any desired scale. Technical drawings can be tied in with our Landscape and Building Survey Services.
All digital illustrations can be produced to specified standards, such as dimensions, resolution (dpi), colour depth and colour profile. If requested, images can be resampled for World Wide Web useage and can be tied into our Web Design Services.
As part of our Illustration Services, we also offer a Technical Author and Desktop Publishing service, designing leaflets, brochures, booklets and manuals.
